For the good of the Game?
If justice was not blind, if the referees were sincere to the game rather than to a team, if FIFA really stands for fair play and for the good of the game, it would have been a long haired Argentine in jersey number 3 known to the world as Juan Pablo Sorin who would have lifted the world cup on July 9th.
However, since we have already seen that fair play does not really exist in practice, since the beauty of the game has no place in a stadium full of fascists, O Argentina, the true believers of the game will consider this world cup as your alms to the world.

My heart bleeds for Argentina.
@sajith: Same here. There is just too much politics involved.
@sojish: it was planned and a calculated move. There would have been no penalty shootout if Argentina rightfully got their penalty. Okay, the coach got it wrong by taking off Riquelme for Cambiasso. And Messi was not able to come because of the subtitution of the goalie, but these facts are only secondary. Maradona has long avoided FIFA for their dirty politics.... Why, he did not even come for the game because his bodygaurds were refused tickets
The Argentine football was far more beautiful than the Germans. And you say they dont have an edge???? I dont remember any other team scoring a 6-0 win. There is a difference between world class team and world class players.
three cheers to argentina..:)
Whatever said and done, they produced a very beautiful and different style of game against S&M :)
it was worth watching any day..

@chakky: Athree ullu!!! Their football was the most beautiful. The game against the germans was also beautiful. Argentina made some nice advances but they were not able to convert it into goals.
